ROH To Make A "Major Announcement" This Week
ROH recently announced their return with Supercard of Honor XV set for April 1
Ring of Honor is gearing up for its return with Supercard of Honor XV on April 1, but in the run-up to the indie promotion’s grand return, they’re teasing some big news later this week.
Kevin Eck, writing on rohwrestling.com, said the following during his ‘Eck’s Files’ column:
“Expect ROH to make a major announcement sometime next week. My sources tell me that anyone who has ever been an ROH fan will be excited by this news.”
What this could mean is anyone’s guess. With the ROH roster seemingly starting again from the ground up following the termination of all talent contracts prior to the Q1 hiatus, and with several notable ROH alumni either on the free agents list or able to work potential ROH shows, then a roster announcement would make the most sense.
However, this is merely speculation, and with Ring of Honor returning after all but the most optimistic die-hards wrote the company off following Final Battle 2021, then this ‘major announcement’ could be one of several different things. We’ll have to wait and see.
