WWE NXT SPOILERS For May 21 Episode

Following a live episode on Tuesday, May 14, WWE taped next week's edition of NXT from the WWE Performance Center. The episode will air on Tuesday, May 21 and multiple matches were set for the upcoming NXT Battleground show from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

According to Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, WWE opted to hold a double taping as production staff and agents are heading to Saudi Arabia next week for King & Queen of the Ring. 

Full spoilers for the May 21 episode of WWE NXT:

• NXT opened with a promo from NXT Champion Trick Williams, who was quickly interrupted by Meta-Four and then jumped by Gallus. Je'Von Evans tried to make the save but failed. 
• Dante Chen def. Lexis King - Chen reportedly received a big pop and was introduced by Robert Stone. 
• Jaida Parker def. Brinley Reece - NXT North American Women's Title Ladder Match Qualifier
• Fallon Henley def. Thea Hail - NXT North American Women's Title Ladder Match Qualifier
• Wes Lee & Joe Coffey were declared co-winners of a Triple Threat number one contender's match that also included Josh Briggs. Joe Coffey replaced Ivar in the match and he and Wes Lee will challenge Oba Femi for the NXT North American Championship at Battleground. 
• Nathan Frazer & Axiom (c) def. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo & Luca Crusifino - NXT Tag Team Championships - The OC and No Quarter Catch Crew both got involved.
• Karmen Petrovic & Natalya def. Lola Vice & Shayna Baszler - Lola Vice turned on Shayna Baszler post-match, with Baszler getting back up and choking out her tag team partner. This led to Ava announcing an NXT Underground Match between the two former MMA talents for NXT Battleground.
