Stokely Hathaway recently re-emerged in AEW, aligning with the newly heel FTR as the tag team's new manager on the April 23 edition of Dynamite.
Stokely had previously managed Jade Cargill, Private Party and Kris Statlander, but had been off television since splitting from Statlander in late 2024.
Since his return, there has been a formal change made to Hathaway's name. On the AEW website, he is no longer listed as Stokely Hathaway but simply Stokely. Stokely's new attire is a red tracksuit embroidered with the name 'Big Stoke'.
According to a recent report, the Stokely/FTR pairing has been in the works for some time and was initially discussed at some point last year. However, when The Outrunners got hot and began teaming with Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, it delayed FTR's heel turn.
Stokely is not the first person to manage the two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions, as they were previously guided by legendary Four Horseman member Tully Blanchard.
