Pro Wrestling Guerilla returned to action this weekend with Mystery Vortex 7, in a night chock full of surprises.

The biggest though, was the return of PWG co-founder Super Dragon, who appeared after the main event to Curbstomp PWG World Champion Bandido, and seemingly align himself with Demonic Flamita and Black Taurus.

Super Dragon is one of PWG’s co-founders, and a massive cult hero amongst indie wrestling fans, but has a checkered past with injuries. In fact, Super Dragon last wrestled for PWG back in 2015 at the 2015 BOLA, his first appearance since 2012.

Super Dragon wasn’t the only surprise at Mystery Vortex 7. The premise of the event is that no competitors or matches are revealed until the bell rings, and allowed for surprise appearances from Evil Uno, Orange Cassidy, Brody King, and ROH Pure Champion Jonathan Gresham amongst others.

PWG’s next show is Threemendous on September 26, and it seems as though Super Dragon will be in action against Bandido, the champ issuing a challenge to Dragon to close Mystery Vortex 7.
