Tony Khan 'Pretty Sure' Shawn Michaels Blew The Chance To Win Booker Of The Year With October 10 WWE NXT

Tony Khan doesn't see Shawn Michaels winning Booker of the Year following WWE NXT

Tony Khan wasn't very impressed with Shawn Michaels' booking of WWE NXT on October 10 when the show went head-to-head with AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday.

WWE NXT treated Tuesday night's episode as a big deal and a number of top stars were drafted in for the Performance Center show, including John Cena, Paul Heyman, Cody Rhodes, and The Undertaker. This was largely at the expense of NXT's usual crop of talent, although some of them still made it onto the show, including the likes of Ilja Dragunov, Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, and Carmelo Hayes.

Wrestling fans have been split on which show was better between NXT and AEW Dynamite but Tony Khan doesn't seem to think much of Shawn Michaels' booking ability as after a Twitter user shared an AI-generated image of Michaels with a 'Booker of the Year' award, Khan replied: "Actually I'm pretty sure that last night blew whatever chance he had at winning that award."

As part of his role as Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels is responsible for the day-to-day operations of NXT.

Tony Khan had earlier criticised The Heartbreak Kid, calling him and WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H a "bald asshole." The AEW CEO has also taken multiple shots at Vince McMahon, making reference to the allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity against the TKO Group Executive Chairman.

WWE NXT handily beat AEW Dynamite in the ratings war on Tuesday night.
