What Happened When Post-WWE WrestleMania 40 Edition Of Raw Went Off The Air

What happened after WWE Raw after WrestleMania 40 went off the air

WWE held their post-WrestleMania 40 edition of Raw on Monday, April 8 from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The main event of the show saw Jey Uso be crowned as the new number-one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. CM Punk grabbing Drew McIntyre's leg allowed Jey Uso to connect with a Jumping Superkick, a Spear, and an Uso Splash before he pinned Irn Dru.

Having been so influential in the outcome of the main event, CM Punk addressed the fans in Philadelphia after Monday Night Raw went off the air. Punk cut a rah-rah promo for the fans in attendance, noting how much he loved Philadelphia and how much Philly loved pro wrestling. Punk then gave a shout-out to Paul Heyman and promised to have his boots on the next time he was back in Philadelphia.

Punk and Jey Uso ended the post-show segment by signing Jey's shoes and throwing them into the crowd.

Punk is currently out of action, having sustained a torn triceps in the 2024 men's Royal Rumble match. CCTV footage of his backstage fight with Jack Perry at AEW All In 2023 will be released on Wednesday night's edition of AEW Dynamite.
