WWE are considering the possibility of including NXT talent on upcoming Live Events in the event of main roster wrestlers missing the shows due to positive COVID-19 results.

As previously noted, WWE are currently dealing with a number of positive coronavirus tests among their talent and officials, which is likely to affect the card for the upcoming post-Christmas tour.

In an update, PWInsider is reporting that WWE still expects to go ahead with all of their Live Events in the United States next week but have endured a hectic couple of days as they await test results and try to clarify who will be able to travel and perform over the weekend.

WWE have asked a host of talent to get tested for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours to be on the safe side as more performers and officials have since come back as positive.

The promotion are said to be working on alternative cards for the upcoming Live Events, should certain individuals not be available due to COVID-19. One source has indicated that, in a 'worst case scenario', WWE will look to bring up NXT talent to fill out the undercard on these shows.

Despite some concerns over the Live Event cards, WWE is hopeful that the planned matches for the Day 1 pay-per-view next Saturday will not be in danger as the event is far enough away that anyone testing positive will still be cleared to perform.
