WWE Possibly Cancels Rob Van Dam's WrestleMania 40 Booking Over His AEW Appearances

Rob Van Dam’s WWE WrestleMania 40 booking might have been cancelled due to AEW appearances

During Jack Perry’s anti-ECW run with the FTW Championship in All Elite Wrestling, the former ‘Jungle Boy’ was confronted by Jerry Lynn and Rob Van Dam, despite the latter still having ties to WWE.

Ahead of his AEW appearances, Van Dam was advertised as part of WWE’s upcoming WrestleMania XL weekend in Philadelphia in 2024, but on the 1 of a Kind podcast, RVD hinted that his Mania bookings may have been cancelled:

“Maybe I'd show you if I was doing a WWE tour WrestleMania weekend, but I have good reason to believe that might be canceled because of a recent appearance I might have done, with permission, for a different company. Right now, I don’t feel like I can talk too much about that,” said Van Dam.

The ‘Whole F’n Show’ made two appearances on AEW television, eventually losing to Perry in singles action in August. It remains to be seen if RVD will make future AEW appearances, or if his ‘ECW fan experience’ appearance at WrestleMania is still on the table.
