Matt Hardy To Still Appear At AAA TripleMania XXX: Tijuana

Matt Hardy will still compete at this weekend's TripleMania show, despite Jeff's recent arrest

Dorian Roldan, the General Director of Mexican wrestling promotion AAA, has confirmed that Matt Hardy will still appear as scheduled at this Saturday's TripleMania XXX: Tijuana event.

Matt and Jeff were announced for the event back in March and were set to take on Dragon Lee and Dralistico on the show.

Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio recently said that AAA wanted to at least keep Matt in the match and find a replacement partner, after Jeff was arrested for DUI this past Monday, putting his status for the show in serious doubt.

Jeff has since been suspended with no pay by All Elite Wrestling and can only return after he successfully completes treatment and is maintaining his sobriety.

Though Rodlan confirmed Matt Hardy will still compete on the show, no replacement partner was announced. More announcements are expected soon.

Saturday will be the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion's first appearance in AAA since 2015, when he competed in the Victoria Lucha Libre World Cup alongside the likes of Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, and John Morrison.
