Becky Lynch Reveals When She Was Almost Released From WWE

WrestleMania 35 main eventer has come a long, long way since then...

When Becky Lynch debuted in NXT as a tribute act to Michael Flatley, Irish-jigging her way down to the ring BECAUSE SHE'S IRISH, nobody could have predicted The Man becoming the hottest act in the wrestling world today.

Now, with Becky set to main event WrestleMania 35 in the Raw Women's Championship match alongside Charlotte Flair and champion Ronda Rousey, The Irish Lasskicker has revealed she was almost let go from WWE before she even debuted on NXT TV.

Naturally, looking back at the beginning of her WWE career isn't something Becky enjoys to do, something she detailed during a WWE media call last year:

“Let us never talk about that again. You know what, you can’t get worse than that (the Irish jig gimmick).

"Sometimes you’ve just gotta fricking make a fool out of yourself and then you become little bit untouchable. So, I tell ya, it’s gonna make one hell of a biography one day, I hope. That was terrible, and we all know it was terrible. Let nobody else say anything different.”
