Report: The Revival Once Again Ask For Their Releases From WWE

Are the Top Guys headed out?

One year ago, it was reported that Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder of The Revival had requested their releases from WWE. It would appear that their stance has not changed.

Bryan Alvarez reported on today's Wrestling Observer Live that both Dawson and Wilder requested their releases from WWE at some point last week. Sources from Fightful have corroborated the story.

Dawson and Wilder were reportedly offered deals worth $550,000 annually one year ago, which they turned down.

A report from Fightful Select earlier this month claimed that the duo were offered new deals with WWE that exceeded the value the previous contract offer, complete with less dates.

A source within WWE says that while the two haven't outright turned down the latest contract offer, they haven't been quick to re-sign, either. Dawson and Wilder have been wanting a well-booked tag team division to work in, and the source adds that WWE is doing all it can to hold onto the two, with them being non-committal toward staying.

Both men's WWE contracts expire in the spring of 2020.

Dawson and Wilder remain with WWE for the time being. While WWE had been keen to hold onto wrestlers who wanted out, they did release Luke Harper and Sin Cara in December, both of whom requested their releases some time prior.
