Report: Triple H's Plans For WWE WrestleMania 36 Revealed

The Game is set to miss his first Mania in 13 years...

Since 2010, Triple H has dramatically reduced his in-ring action and has transitioned to his backstage role as WWE COO and on-screen authority figure. Despite his reduced schedule, The Game's matches at WrestleMania have very much become a staple of the event.

His bouts with The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, and Daniel Bryan have garnered praise, while his contests against Sting and Batista have been criticised for being over-indulgent.

In past years, WWE would have already begun to build towards The Cerebral Assasin's match at The Showcase Of The Immortals. However, Triple H hasn't been on TV since the build to Survivor Series when he led NXT's invasion of Raw and SmackDown.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter this is because the 14-time world champion is not currently scheduled to wrestle at WrestleMania 36 and is set to miss his first Mania in 13 years. Instead, the company is more than happy to let their current stars like Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt carry the show, as opposed to bringing back old favourites like in previous years.

For the avoidance of doubt, Meltzer penned: "Another note is that as of the most recent lineup, HHH is not scheduled to wrestle on the show, nor is Bill Goldberg or Ronda Rousey."
