Professional wrestlers sacrifice a lot on their way to achieving success in the business, as the dedication to their craft can lead to time away from family, struggling for funds, and plenty of injury. Adam Cole’s passion for professional wrestling led to him turning down a girl, as he revealed recently that he actually shrugged off a kiss due to the fact that he was too busy watching Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio at No Way Out 2006.

Speaking with Chicago’s Q101, Cole admitted the story to the world.

"I was in high school. Like a freshman or sophomore in high school. And my best friend was there, and he had a girl that he really liked and they were dating at the time. And the girl brought a friend who thought I was very cute. And we all were hanging out. Those two were smooching on the other couch, but we had [on TV] No Way Out: Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton."

To make matters worse, Cole actually attended the show in person, so he’d seen the match already!

"I was at this show. I was there. I had already seen the match, but I wanted to watch it on DVD. And she was trying to kiss me, and I said, 'Hey, listen, not right now. I gotta watch Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton.' I was dedicated."

Cole would one day compete in the 2018 Royal Rumble match, which involved both Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio. He is currently engaged in a feud with MJF that has received some criticism from fans, though Cole stated last week that he felt like AEW’s decision to come back to the storyline was the correct choice.

Come on Adam, the match only got 3.25 Stars from Dave, give her a smooch.
