AEW Expected To Remain On ITV

AEW recently signed a new deal with WBD, keeping AEW programming on TBS and TNT, which have been the homes of shows such as Dynamite, Collision, and Rampage since the promotion began back in 2019. When it comes to fans in the UK, the television home of AEW has been ITV.

Along with AEW’s continued relationship with WBD, it looks as though AEW will continue working alongside ITV too. Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW is expected to remain on ITV, with this stemming from the loyalty Khan has with the channel. 

ITV took a chance with AEW early on, becoming just their second TV partner after TNT. WWE programming is leaving TNT Sports in the UK, so there is a belief that they might try and retain a professional wrestling show with AEW. This would be a potential option, especially since AEW would no longer have to air either late or on certain varying delays each week. However, Khan’s loyalty will likely stick with ITV. In terms of Canada, Meltzer notes that Sportsnet might be interested in procuring AEW due to losing WWE.
