AEW Full Gear 2021
While Full Gear certainly wasn’t a flawless PPV, featuring a tag team match that would have been better served on an episode of Dynamite and one too many No DQ contests - I’m looking at you Inner Circle vs. American Top Team – the show produced enough excellent content to be the best PPV of the year.
Full Gear featured plenty of legitimate bangers and at least two (if not three) 'match of the year' candidates in Darby Allin vs. MJF, CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston and the AEW World Title match between Kenny Omega and 'Hangman' Adam Page.
That main event match also culminated a two-year story for the Anxious Millennial Cowboy, one that had captivated professional wrestling fans who were desperate to see Hangman believe in himself and finally win the AEW World Title.
Luckily for everyone, AEW gave us that and so much more on November 13.
