EC3 Says CM Punk To NWA Would Be A Game-Changer

CM Punk in the NWA? EC3 thinks it would be a game changer

CM Punk has once again dominated pro wrestling news and conversations this past week, with the controversial star’s firing from All Elite Wrestling set to have repercussions for some time going forward.

Some have wondered what’s next for Punk, with ROH and NJPW no-goes due to their relationship with AEW, whilst a WWE return is possible but seemingly unlikely. For NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion EC3, though, the possibility of Punk in an NWA ring is exciting, with EC3 saying the following about the ‘Second City Saint’ on Sportskeeda’s UnSKripted show:

“To have him (CM Punk) come in would be a game changer, and I think our locker room has a more professional atmosphere sometimes. So, I don’t think the shenanigans (and) tomfooleries of the intertwinings and dramatics would take place as much as people striving to be the best versions of themselves. And the best version of anybody is EC3 as the Worlds Heavyweight Champion,” said EC3.

Again, anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling, and who knows? Perhaps Punk wants to become the first person to have held the WWE, ROH, AEW, and NWA Worlds Heavyweight championships?
