Eric Young Wins The IMPACT World Championship

The World Class Maniac is world champion once again...

Only two months after making his return to the promotion, Eric Young is your IMPACT World Champion once again.

The World Class Maniac went one on one with Eddie Edwards for the title on last night's edition of IMPACT! and Young used his sadistic side to good advantage. Edwards and EY battled back and forth for much of the match but the momentum swung in Young's favour after Mr. AIP went for a Crossbody to the outside and tweaked his knee in the process.

This severely hobbled the IMPACT World Champion but EY still had to resort to underhanded tactics. While the referee's back was turned, Young smashed Edwards across the head with his hockey mask. He then picked up his opponent and connected with a hellacious Piledriver to win the match and the IMPACT World Championship.

Becoming a two-time IMPACT World Champion wasn't enough for The World Class Maniac, however, and he attacked his fallen foe's injured knee after the bell. Their rivalry looks set to continue but fans are also eagerly awaiting the return of Rich Swann, who Young forced into "retirement" following Slammiversary.
