Everyone In Dusty Rhodes NXT Tag Team Classic Final 'A Little Banged Up' Following The Match

There were a couple of scary spots in the match.

Last night's NXT Vengeance Day kicked off with the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.

Bron Breakker teamed with Baron Corbin to defeat Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams in around 14 minutes, with Breakker scoring the pin on Hayes following a spear.

Breakker and Corbin will receive a future shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships, which are currently held by Tony D'Angelo and Channing 'Stacks' Lorenzo, as a result of their victory.

According to Fightful Select, the rope tightness was questioned after two scary spots involving Breakker and Hayes. It was said that all four men came out of the match 'a little banged up'.

Hayes turned on his partner following the show's main event, which saw Williams lose to NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov.

Williams has received substantial praise for his performances of late, with some in WWE considering him a possible future WrestleMania main eventer.

Breakker, meanwhile, recently made quite the impression during his stint in the men's Royal Rumble match. Replacing Brock Lesnar in the bout, the former NXT Champion eliminated Jimmy Uso, Finn Balor, Ivar and Omos before being eliminated by Dominik Mysterio.

Breakker subsequently hinted at a main roster call-up, though NXT head honcho Shawn Michaels has said that he 'still has work to do' on the so-called third brand.
