First Match Announced For The January 8th Episode Of AEW Dynamite

First time ever!

Back in November, AEW announced they would be hosting a special anniversary edition of Dynamite on January 8th at the Landers Center in Southaven, Mississipi. The show will mark the one year anniversary of the Double Or Nothing Rally in Jacksonville, Florida.

Last night, AEW announced on Twitter that the show will be headlined by Cody & Dustin Rhodes vs. The Lucha Brothers, as they face off for the first time ever.

After AEW made the announcement, Cody tweeted: "So glad we came to terms on this match! Dustin & I don't team often anymore, but when we do...its [fire]. With the records resetting in January, The Brotherhood is coming for a W. Pentagon & Fenix are immensely talented, and I'm looking forward to this."

This will only be the third time Cody and Dustin have teamed together in AEW. They lost to The Young Bucks at Fight For The Fallen. They then joined forces with Nick and Matt Jackson in an Eight-Man Tag Team match against Private Party & Strong Hearts on the third episode of Dark.
