Je'Von Evans Suffers Cracked Ribs On WWE NXT

Je'Von Evans has revealed he suffered cracked ribs on the June 11 episode of WWE NXT during his match with Shawn Spears. The injury won't keep Evans out of action, though, and he is still planning to be in the number one contender's battle royal on next week's show. 

"For Everyone Wondering, I'm All Good. Got Some Messed Up Ribs. The Dr Said They Are Cracked But Not Broken. Cmon Doc...We Gotta Tape 'em Up. Ya Boy Gotta Battle Royal Next Week!!!! #TheYoungOG #NXTYoungBlood #WWENXT," Evans tweeted. 

Evans is one of the rising stars on WWE NXT and WWE are reportedly "very high" on the former Jay Malachi. Evans has been booked in and around the main event picture in recent weeks, having impressed officials in early matches at NXT house shows and on NXT Level Up.

The battle royal on next week's show is expected to have a presence from outside WWE, with Cody Rhodes teasing on June 11 that the battle royal will have wrestlers from other locker rooms. WWE NXT has established more of a permanent partnership with TNA in recent weeks, while WWE are also working with Marigold and Pro Wrestling NOAH. 

One potential WWE vs. TNA match that could be on the table is Je'Von Evans vs. Leon Slater, with the TNA talent revealing to Cultaholic earlier this week that he is interested in a match against Evans.
