Latest On Britt Baker's AEW Absence

It’s been over five months since Britt Baker last wrestled, with the former AEW Women’s World Champion having been out of action since September 2023.

Baker last wrestled against Kris Statlander, and subsequent reports suggested Baker was dealing with a minor back injury. Baker was recently spotted at the Madame Web premiere, and was also at the recent NFL Super Bowl, and according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Baker has been training ‘very hard’ for an AEW return, although she hasn’t been cleared to perform just yet.

All indications suggest it won’t be long until Baker is cleared to wrestle.

Baker was noticeably used far less by AEW in 2023 as opposed to previous years where she reigned as the de facto face of the women’s division. Baker showed signs of frustration over her booking on social media, and later suggested that her diminished role in All Elite Wrestling was due to her taking a step back so others could take the chance to shine for a while.

‘The Dentist’ has been part of AEW since its inception, signing with the company in January 2019 as its first contracted female in-ring performer.
