All about the NDA

More has been revealed about the meeting between CM Punk and The Elite that never took place backstage at AEW's taping of Dynamite and Collision on August 23.
Past reports have noted that a meeting between CM Punk and The Elite was at least pitched for the taping in Atlanta, Georgia ahead of All In. Haus of Wrestling has claimed the meeting was scheduled before it was scrapped at the last minute by The Elite. Other reports, meanwhile, have noted a meeting was pitched to The Elite but they turned down the opportunity to meet with Punk.
Further details about why The Elite rejected the meeting have been revealed by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, with it being reported The Elite turned down squashing their issues with Punk because of the weekly issues that saw the likes of Christopher Daniels and Ryan Nemeth banned from AEW Collision.
Further issues then arose during the summer after a legal letter was sent to AEW which claimed The Young Bucks had violated the non-disclosure agreement to not speak publicly about CM Punk. The claim revolved around a BTE skit where Matt Jackson had secured a deal but screwed it up and left the rest of The Elite broke. The faction was shown asking Matt to apologise for screwing up. CM Punk's name was not mentioned during the skit.
All of this ruled out a meeting between CM Punk and The Elite in August. A person close to the situation told Meltzer that a meeting wasn't off the table forever, though, and The Bucks said they would be willing to sit down and work with Punk if "six months went by without any issues."
The Elite and CM Punk had issues in AEW from early 2022 which led to Brawl Out, the backstage fight between CM Punk, Ace Steel, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega following All Out 2022. CM Punk has since been fired by AEW following another backstage altercation, this time with Jack Perry at All In 2023.
