Report: CM Punk Meeting With Chris Jericho Believed To Have Gone Well

Punk and Jericho met last week

The big meeting between CM Punk and Chris Jericho is said to have already happened and 'went well', according to a new report.

During a recent PWTorch audio show, Wade Keller said:

"I heard the meeting took place with Jericho and FTR. I think it was supposed to be on Friday I think. That might have been why was in Tampa and I just heard from one source that it went well"

Fightful Select further noted that the meeting was "relatively uneventful all things considered" while another source joked it was simply a positive that they didn't end up fighting.

Punk and Jericho were due to meet in order to clear the air prior to Punk's return to the company. It was reported that The Demo God is likely to be Punk's first feud when the Straight-Edge Superstar comes back in June. The two have had issues in recent months, with Jericho calling Punk a cancer after Brawl Out, while Punk said Jericho was a stooge in an Instagram post in late Match.

Wade Keller added that Punk did not give Tony Khan a 'heads up' about his backstage visit to Raw on Monday. According to Keller, the indications are that Punk decided to do it believing that it would not be a big deal and just wanted to say hi to friends while they were in Chicago.
