Report: WWE Contact Two Former Superstars About Being "Top Stars" Of NXT On USA Network

Big plans for the move...

Back on August 20, WWE made the announcement that NXT's weekly show will be moving from the WWE Network to the USA Network for a live two-hour broadcast beginning September 18 – two weeks before AEW’s as-yet-unnamed weekly TV show debuts on TNT.

The weekly NXT show will still be available on the WWE Network, only a full day after the USA Network broadcast has aired.

It looks like Vince McMahon and Triple H have big plans for the revised NXT, as they have reportedly reached out to two of the brand's former favourites.

According to this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE have been in contact with Enzo Amore and Big Cass about a shock return to the yellow and gold brand. It is not known if the pair have accepted any offers at this stage.

For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what Dave Meltzer has penned in this week's WON: "WWE has been in contact with Enzo and Cass about a surprise return to be top stars on the NXT brand. We don't know if they've accepted, but Cass really hasn't done much on the indie scene and has also made it clear he wants to get back. Enzo, who really knows. He says a lot of things but his rap career isn't exactly going anywhere and he also hasn't done much on the indie scene, but hasn't walked away from wrestling either."

Former Cruiserweight Champion Amore was fired by WWE in early 2018, with Cass leaving the company last June.
