Shane McMahon To Announce New WWE SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions On Tuesday

Jeff Hardy injury means The Hardy Boyz were forced to relinquish...

During last week's WWE SmackDown Live, The Hardy Boyz announced they were going to have to relinquish the blue brand's tag team titles due to a leg injury suffered by Jeff. This brought an end to a reign that only started on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 35.

WWE.com released an article over the weekend confirming The Charismatic Enigma had undergone successful knee surgery, with the man himself predicting a 6-9 month layoff.

Now, WWE have revealed that Shane McMahon will be announcing the new SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions during this coming Tuesday's show. The article ends with the line "what will Shane-O-Mac decree? Find out this Tuesday night," suggesting The Best In The World will quite literally be picking the new champs rather than assembling a tournament to crown them.

Interestingly, WWE.com have been doing a series of articles looking at the list of would-be champions, with the team of Ali and Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor in the mix. After facing off against each other not too long ago, Finn and Ali teamed on last week's SmackDown to defeat Andrade and Randy Orton and now look to be an official tandem.

Also listed in the group of potential SD Live tag champs is the team of Elias and Shane McMahon...
