Triple H pursing his lips on WWE: Unreal

After being asked what message he would like to send to professional wrestling fans, Triple H couldn't help but suggest that people take the sport too seriously.

Appearing on the Stephen A. Smith Show, Paul Levesque said:

"I think that we bring an event to you that is always going to be exciting. That is always going to surprise and delight you. And we bring a little bit of something for everybody. There’s the entertainment component of a Danhausen, there is a serious component of a Brock Lesnar and a Roman Reigns and a Cody Rhodes. A Rhea Ripley and a Becky Lynch and Jade Cargill, where there's that serious nature of it. The storylines keep you hooked and if you haven't watched in a bit, always tune in because the one thing about WWE is the story never ends. So when you come to an end of the Knicks winning the big game, in our world the next night it starts over again.

"There's always fresh, there's always new, there's always something big happening. So even if you've missed out for a bit, you can jump right back in. Be a part of those stories. Be a part of those epic moments. So there's something for everybody, and that's our goal. That's what we try to do, be a little bit of something for everybody.

"The other aspect of that is I think people lose perspective of sometimes is we’re just fun. We’re fun. Sometimes people take it too seriously. Sometimes people get too caught up in it. It’s there to entertain. There’s a lot of stuff going on in the world. If you just want to turn off for a couple of hours and tune into something cool that you can just lose yourself in and have a good time, WWE is the place to do it. If you’ve never seen it live, come to a live event, come to one of our PLEs, come to a TV, there’s nothing like it in entertainment."

Triple H's comments come as part of a media blitz to promote WWE Night of Champions. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has already defended the WWE chief content officer this week, stating that nobody would be a better head booker of WWE than Triple H.

This comes amid plenty of criticism from fans of Triple H and WWE's televised product in 2026. Publicly, WWE have looked to brush off such criticism, with WWE President Nick Khan claiming that any criticism is from a vocal minority. Privately, though, Triple H is reportedly well aware of the current general dissatisfaction with WWE.

Regardless of any criticism of Triple H, he won't be leaving WWE anytime soon as he signed a new multi-year deal to remain chief content officer ahead of WrestleMania 42.
