Were you recently wondering about the pro wrestling status of former WWE star Ryback? I bet you were.

Well, luckily for you, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp has something of an update.

Sapp noted that he has a good relationship with dozens of people who book talent for independent shows and he has never heard of anyone saying The Big Guy is blacklisted. He added that he's sure if Ryback wanted to wrestle he'd get bookings and do well at signings.

The former Intercontinental Champion left the company in 2016 following a contract dispute and subsequently entered into a legal battle with them over the Ryback name (which resulted in him legally changing his name to Ryback Allen Reeves).

He went on to wrestle close to 50 matches following his WWE departure, but hasn't worked a match since August 2018.

The 42-year-old has intermittently spoken about his desire to wrestle again, including in 2023 when he was angling for matches with Wardlow and Goldberg

Ryback vowed to retire from professional wrestling if CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023. When The Straight-Edge Superstar did make his unlikely return, Ryback walked back his statements.
