Monday's episode of WWE Raw will go down in the history books as the first of the Paul Heyman era.
Heyman was appointed Executive Director of the red brand last week
, we Eric Bischoff taking the same title for SmackDown Live - although, the former WCW man wasn't too involved with this week's show, apparently.
Reports surfaced earlier this week that claimed
Vince McMahon and Heyman were sat next to each other for Monday's Raw, with the boss still having the final say on everything we saw. However, it's clear that
Heyman's fingerprints were all over a couple of segments in particular.
Whatever went on backstage during this week's Raw, a report from
Sports Illustratedsuggests Vince was very happy with what he saw. For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what
SIpenned: "WWE executives, most notably CEO Vince McMahon, were immensely pleased with the pacing, tone, and essence of this past Monday’s show, which was the first Raw after the announcement that Paul Heyman is taking on a new role as the show’s Executive Director."
