Chris Jericho Defeats Konosuke Takeshita At DDT Ultimate Party

Jericho defeated Takeshita in Japan.

Chris Jericho defeated fellow AEW star Konosuke Takeshita at DDT Ultimate Party this past weekend.

The match took place inside Tokyo's Ryogoku Kokugikan (AKA Sumo Hall) and saw Jericho score the win by making Takeshita tap out to the Liontamer following 23 minutes of action.

Speaking after his victory, the former AEW World Champion addressed the match taking place in DDT instead of AEW.

"I had this idea for this match with Takeshita and I didn't want to have it just on Dynamite, just another match, I wanted it to be something special", Jericho said.

Continuing, the 53-year-old added:

"I wanted to have a match that was special and I wanted to have it here in Japan and I think the match was very special and I was very happy with the crowd, the fans, DDT as a company, and most importantly Takeshita as a great opponent".

Jericho and Takeshita will meet again on this Wednesday's edition of Dynamite when they are on opposite teams in an eight-man Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight, a match that is being sponsored by SEGA to help promote their namesake videogame.
