Fantasy, Logical, Dubious, Wildcard: Who Defeats Kenny Omega For The IMPACT World Title?

Who will end the Belt Collector’s reign of terror in the IMPACT Zone?

Logical - Moose

Moose with the tna world heavyweight championship on impact wrestling

Throughout the pandemic era, Moose has been one of IMPACT’s shining lights. From his run as the self proclaimed TNA World Heavyweight Champion, through to his title unification match with Rich Swann and beyond, Moose has inserted himself as the most reliable name in the men’s division; a self assured, uncompromising beast who will wreck anyone in his way.

But as of yet, he hasn’t properly reigned atop IMPACT. His TNA title was unsanctioned and unearned, and every sniff he’s had at the real world title he’s fallen agonisingly short at the last hurdle, time and again, and usually due to outside interference.

Yes, Sami Callihan is in the title picture too, and yes, Sami is also a logical choice to take the gold from Kenny, and could possibly do that at Slammiversary. In fact, you could have the inverse of the title collapse outlined above; rather than have Hangman kick off Omega’s downfall, you could start with Sami taking the IMPACT titles, then the Mega Championship can slip away, until a desperate paranoid Omega only has his AEW title left.

With Sami existing as a being of pure unhinged chaos, he would certainly be a feasible catalyst for the tightly controlled world of Kenny and co. to come tumbling down, but for my money Moose’s story is much more compelling.

Besides, what better way to crown your new standard bearer with his first world title win than by having him overcome the nigh unstoppable best bout machine?
