Nick Aldis Comments On IMPACT Slammiversary Main Event

Nick Aldis has shared his thoughts on recent IMPACT Slammiversary main event bout

Nick Aldis walked away from IMPACT Slammiversary 2023 empty handed, with ‘The National Treasure’ unable to unseat Alex Shelley as IMPACT World Champion in Slammiversary’s main event.

The former TNA World Champion has since reflected on his loss, posting the following on Twitter:

“#Slammiversary was a fantastic ppv start to finish and I was honoured to be in the main event. It was a huge challenge following all the great matches on the card, and I felt we offered something totally different and unique. The future of @IMPACTWRESTLING is in good hands.”

Aldis returned to IMPACT at Rebellion in April, but reports suggest the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion was only on a short term deal, and has departed the company following the latest round of TV tapings. Further reports suggest that WWE are interested in signing Aldis, with the idea that Aldis could join the company in a backstage production capacity.

At Slammiversary, Aldis was the only wrestler unsuccessful in their attempts to win a championship, with the other five title matches on the show ending with new title holders.
