Bad Luck Fale Discusses NJPW's Relationship With AEW

The Bullet Club member speaks...

Back in January 2019, members of The Elite, Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Hangman Adam Page announced they would be leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling to form their own professional wrestling promotion in North America, All Elite Wrestling.

Since then, relations between the two promotions have remained difficult. With the exception of Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho, AEW talent has not worked for New Japan. NJPW has even tried to stop Kenny Omega from entering Japan on three occasions since he left the promotion.

Relations have seemingly warmed in recent months, however, with wrestlers in New Japan and AEW candidly discussing opening the forbidden door between the two promotions.

In a recent interview with Sean Ross Sapp at Fightful, Bullet Club member Bad Luck Fale shed more light on the relationship between the two promotions. He explained there were no issues between the wrestlers, but relations were frosty when it came to the respective offices.

He said: "There’s a lot of behind the scenes stuff with the office. All I know is the relationships are okay with all the wrestlers. Not sure what the company between New Japan and All Elite, that kind of dealings is going on. I'm not sure what's happening there. Maybe that's the reason. But, I think at the same time the relationship between the office and the wrestlers might have been a little rocky."
