CM Punk Provides Update On Foot Injury

CM Punk has been out injured for nearly two months

No sooner had CM Punk defeated Adam Page for the AEW World Championship than the ‘Best in the World’ was put out of action with a foot injury, with Punk having been on the shelf since early June.

Since then, news of Punk’s recovery has been vague, with the ROH Hall of Famer having underwent successful surgery soon after being inured. Now, during an interview with Skewed and Reviewed Gareth Von Kallenbach at San Diego Comic-Con, Punk himself gave a recovery update:

"It's healing. It's not healed,” started Punk. “It feels like it's on fire every day, partly probably because of how much you know I was on my feet all day yesterday. I just don't wear the boot, but that's mostly because I want people to recognise that I don't want them near my foot. I'm working hard to come back; It's just, it's a s***** injury you know, not being able to walk and like my entire calf on that side kind of shut down so learning how to walk again is f****** frustrating, but I'm better than I was yesterday, I'll be better tomorrow, and hopefully I'll see everybody soon."
