NXT vs AEW: Dynamite - which was the better show this week?
In conclusion
I’m giving this week to AEW, scoring four points against NXT’s one. I can already hear the shouts of “HOW MUCH IS TONY KHAN PAYING YOU?” but anyone with two eyes could see Dynamite was the superior show this week. And for the record, TK isn't paying me anything. Wish he would though, I’d love some gold teeth.
Next week's Dynamite is already shaping up nicely with The Young Bucks vs Santana and Ortiz for the titles all but guaranteed to be a good match. I wish they’d do more with the former LAX lads, same for The Butcher and The Blade who were conspicuous by their absence this week. No Eddie Kingston either - like I said, this was a stacked episode.
I’m hoping NXT has a stronger showing next week, and seeing as there’ll inevitably be a ton of fallout after Take Over: Vengeance Day, my expectations are high. Not impossibly high mind you, as I am fairly easy to please.
Regardless of the outcome of the Women’s Dusty Cup, I’d like to see Ember and Shotzi stay as a team for a while. Something about them just ‘works’. Same too for Thatcher and Ciampa, but if they decide to start hitting each other in the face very hard instead, then I’ll be all for it.
