NXT vs. AEW: Dynamite - which was the better show this week?

The Whole Damn Show

AEW

As I’ve said a hundred times already, NXT felt disjointed this week. If it weren’t in the CWC it may have felt better, I dunno, but it definitely didn’t feel fully thought through.

My main problem with NXT at the mo is the muddled representation of some of the performers. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez got the big babyface treatment last week against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, but this week they were heels again, but they were unfortunate in losing the tag titles straight away. I don’t know what to think.

Regardless, making Women’s Tag Titles is a good move, but outside of the champs, Kai and Raquel, The Way, and The KCs, there’s not much of a division, yet.

AEW was really good again. Is it the best wrestling show on American TV? It’s certainly the most consistent anyway. There are so many moving pieces in play, and most of them retain their momentum.

And thank fudge they’re finally starting to give the Women’s Division more time. Thunder Rosa vs. Britt Baker next week should be brilliant, and I hope there’s more women’s matches on next week’s outing - no more pointless Cody squashes please, we know he’s big and good and impressive.

But with Kenny vs. Christian Cage, Mox and Kingston allies again, never mind the Inner Circle vs. The Horsemen, the next few weeks should be jam packed. I’m excited to say the least.

Winner: AEW. Not even farty explosions can derail them at the moment.
